Paper Capture Privacy Policy

Your documents

Scanned pages, imported files, recognized text, titles, collections, and preferences are stored on your device. Camera processing, image enhancement, text recognition, search, and PDF creation run locally. Paper Capture does not upload your documents to the developer or operate a document storage service.

Permissions

Camera access is used when you scan pages. You can change it in iOS Settings. Photos and Files imports use Apple's system pickers; Paper Capture receives only the items you select. No account, contacts, location, or microphone access is required.

Sharing and backups

Export creates a PDF and opens the system share sheet. You choose where to send or save it. Other apps handle shared files under their own policies. Device or iCloud backups may include app data depending on your settings. Paper Capture has no separate cloud sync service.

Purchases

Apple processes the optional lifetime upgrade. Paper Capture uses StoreKit to verify your purchase and restore it with your Apple Account. Your payment information is handled by Apple and is not sent to the developer. Purchase status is checked on your device; there is no developer-operated purchase server. Apple handles transaction records, refunds, and App Store information under its own policies.

Retention and deletion

Documents remain until you delete them. Recently Deleted keeps documents until you restore or permanently delete them. Temporary capture and export copies are cleaned up by the app or operating system. Export important documents before removing the app. Copies shared elsewhere and device backups are managed separately. The app stores a local count of documents created to manage the free allowance; deleting a document does not restore that allowance.

Analytics and advertising

Paper Capture has no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The app does not send usage data or device identifiers to the developer. Apple may process diagnostics or App Store data according to your Apple settings and Apple's policies.

Support and this website

If you email support, Arthur Park receives your email address and the information you choose to send, uses it to respond to your request, and retains it as needed to resolve and follow up on the request. You may ask for deletion of your support correspondence. Please avoid sending private documents unless needed, and redact sensitive information first.

The support website is separate from the app. Its hosting provider may process ordinary connection and request logs. These Paper Capture pages include no analytics scripts, tracking cookies, or external fonts.
